Head Coach: Paul Frank
Paul Frank starts his third year as Head Coach with the Mustangs in 2015-16.
Paul grew up and played his youth and high school hockey in Spring Lake Park, Minnesota. He then went on and played two years for the Madison Capitals in the USHL and was named to the league's All-Star team his second year. After his junior career, Paul received a four-year scholarship to Colorado College. While at Colorado College, Paul was named to the WCHA All-Academic team and was part of the Tigers teams that won the WCHA in 1994 and 1995.
After his college career, Paul coached in the Colorado Thunderbirds AAA Midget hockey program, where he coached goalies and defensemen. In 2002 Paul became an assistant coach at the University of Wisconsin-Stout where he coached defensemen, goalies and also recruited. After Stout, Paul went on to coach at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls where he was an assistant from 2008-2013 where he coached goalies and defensemen.
Paul resides in Menomonie with his wife Meagan and their three children; Nate, Haley, and Kiana.
Assistant Coach: Erik Davidson
Erik is a native of Menomonie and played his youth and high school hockey in Menomonie. After high school, Erik went on to play college hockey at Augsburg College in Minnesota and at UW Stout. Erik has been an assistant varsity coach under Ed Roethke in Menomonie and is actively involved in coaching with Menomonie Youth Hockey Association.
Erik has been a Realtor in Menomonie for the last 10 years. He works for Rassbach Realty and lives just North of Menomonie with his wife, Lori, and two sons Chase and Carter.
Assistant Coach: Carson Gray
Carson grew up in Warroad, MN, a small northern town known as Hockey Town, USA. He participated in three Minnesota State Hockey Tournaments during his four years of high school hockey. While at Warroad he was chosen for both All-Conference and All-Section teams. After graduating high school in 2011, Carson went on to play junior hockey in the NA3HL for the North Iowa Bulls in Mason City, Iowa.
After playing a year of junior hockey, Carson came to Menomonie as a UW-Stout student where he played one year for the men’s hockey team. Carson is studying Business Administration with an emphasis in Environmental Sustainability. In his free time away from school and hockey, Carson enjoys hunting and fishing.
